I love it when those moments happen! In my experience, it takes intentional practice to work with it. My natural tendency is to try to push through or resist, and it never seems to work. I'm getting better at recognising when this happens, though. Rather than seeing it as a problem, it becomes an opportunity to ask "how can I flow this instead?"
That's exactly what I do. I just write whatever comes to my head and usually something good shows up!
